Dear Colleagues,

Warm Greetings from LAICO!

We are happy to announce that we are going to condut a workshop on "Patients' Pulse"    (A workshop on tracking patients' expectations and satisfaction) to be held at LAICO from October 3, 2014 (Friday) as part of this year’s October Summit.

As eye care providers, we tend to measure our success by the number of patients we have seen and sometimes by the clinical quality of treatment outcomes. However, a patient’s measure of a hospital goes much beyond its clinical excellence. With over 50% of a hospital’s patients come because it has been recommended by someone, it becomes important to keep track of patient’s expectations and satisfaction levels. Patient satisfaction is an indicator that should be indispensable to the assessment of the quality of care in hospitals.

This workshop explores the different techniques and models to measure patient satisfaction. It presents leading institutions that have successfully implemented these measures and actively use it for continuous improvement.

Objectives of the workshop:

  • To explore best practices in collecting and monitoring customer and patient satisfaction levels
  • To develop strategies for eye hospitals to track patient satisfaction
  • To develop strategies to review patient satisfaction metrics in a hospital’s continuous improvement process

Target Audience:

Large to medium sized eye hospitals
