About the Workshop

The key objective of this workshop is to promote the emerging multidisciplinary field Biomedical Informatics (BMI) and identifying synergies between the Bioinformatics/Omics communities and the Medical Informaticshandling healthcare and clinical research in Ophthalmology. In this workshop, the participants will be provided with lectures, presentations, demonstrations and hands-on-training in informatics methods and tools from Medical Informatics and Bioinformatics/Omics.

Bioinformatics Centre (BIC)

The Bioinformatics Centre has been developed recently at AMRF to conduct various research projects on ocular disorders as well as to help our ophthalmologists in patient care. The mission of Bioinformatics centre is to aid in translational research and provide state-of-the-art computational methods. The Bioinformatics Centre participates in the October Summit held in memory of Aravind’s founder chairman
Dr. G. Venkataswamy by organizing this workshop.
